I grew up hearing this "cheer" over and over and knew one day I HAD to make a painting out of it. Inspired by my father, this piece is based on a cheer he and his friends did in Bronx, NY. The full cheer is "Izzy, Ikey, Jakey, Sam, we're the boys who eat no ham. Pork, pork, pork...City College of New York". However, since showing this piece, I've had great fun hearing MANY different variations of the cheer.
