The idea of cereal, yogurt or eggs didn’t have much appeal to me this morning. As I stood in the refrigerator door, it finally dawned on me…toast. I love the smell of toast. Then I decided to take it up a notch and make myself a toasted ham and turkey sandwich with shredded lettuce, a slice of avocado, and mayo. Now, that’s a darn good sandwich.
After my ham and turkey breakfast sandwich, I took my dogs for a walk. The scene was absolutely beautiful. The air was crisp and the leaves are beginning to turn. It’s the start of fall, my favorite season. Fall always feels like new beginnings and this morning I was feeling particularly fall-ish. I decided today is THE day to move WAY out of my comfort zone and start this blog. I want to take more risks, conquer insecurities and overcome fears. I want to see where the paths will take me.
The sandwich has nothing to do with my deep thoughts of new beginnings or starting this blog, but it was just a really good sandwich and it made me happy. So, here’s to good sandwiches, fall days, and growing!
